Sharles is considered a master of botanical sculptures, often incorportating wildlife, insects, reptiles, and birds into traffic stopping compositions. Sharles has a signature look with his colorful patinas and imaginative bronzes, which are popular among collectors.
In addition to painting and sculpting in a full-time Loveland studio, Sharles enjoys his working trips throughout the southwest painting oils of nature. His impressionistic works show the same love of nature and lavish color and are jointly shown in many galleries with his bronzes.
