Rice Ritual
By Carla Knight, Installed 1989

I discovered the excitement of sculpture in 1968 after viewing a show of Henry Moore’s work at the Denver Art Museum. since then I have worked in the field commecning with a five year apprenticeship with sculptor Geroge Carlson. In 1972 I opened a fine art mold making buiness in Lovealnd, Colorado. My business enables me to pursue my own art with freedom. Over the years I have been interested in a variety of subjects; women the homeless, jazz musicians, and portraits. The art of the Tattoo, the kimono, and Kabuki theater is a particular interest to me.
